Xiaomi has made a last-minute change to its India launch schedule, bringing the Pad 8 debut forward by a single day amid what the company describes as overwhelming pre-launch interest.
Xiaomi had originally announced that the Pad 8 would launch in India alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra on March 11. The company has now moved the tablet's launch date to March 10 instead, citing "overwhelmingly positive response and high demand" as the reason for the change.
While the shift is just 24 hours, it signals notable enthusiasm for the tablet ahead of its Indian debut.
The Pad 8 launched in China back in September, featuring an 11.2-inch IPS LCD display with 2136×3200 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 800-nit peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, with a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 9,200 mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra remain on schedule for their India launch on March 11, 2026 — unchanged by this announcement.
