Samsung has officially unveiled its most powerful smartphone of 2026, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. This time, the phone doesn't just improve on specs — it introduces a world-first feature never seen before on any smartphone, paired with a completely redesigned form factor. Here's what the ten official photos reveal.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra maintains Samsung's premium design identity, measuring 163.6×78.1×7.9mm and weighing 214 grams, with a glass back and aluminum frame that balance durability and elegance. The official photos reveal noticeably more rounded corners compared to its predecessor, creating a more comfortable in-hand feel.
The phone introduces a new Island Camera design, integrating all lenses into a single unified camera bar that flows seamlessly into the body of the device — a significant departure from the individual floating lenses seen in previous generations.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 2K+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching 2,600 nits.
The standout feature is the Privacy Display — the world's first built-in privacy screen on a smartphone, which prevents the display from being viewed from side angles, enhancing data security in public spaces and on the go.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra's camera system is headlined by a 200-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, complemented by a 10MP 3x optical zoom lens, a 50MP 5x telephoto, a 50MP ultrawide at f/1.9, and a 12MP front camera.
Video recording goes up to 8K at 24/30fps, 4K at up to 120fps, and slow-motion HD at 960fps.
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip built on a 3nm process, featuring two high-performance cores clocked at up to 4.74GHz and six efficiency cores at 3.62GHz, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU.
Samsung equipped the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 60W wired fast charging, 25W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging to power accessories on the go.
The phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and supports Samsung DeX alongside Galaxy AI features including intelligent photo editing tools, call enhancement, and automatic performance customization based on usage patterns.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra supports dual Nano SIM with eSIM, 2G through 5G networks, Tri-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and multi-system satellite navigation including GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is available in White, Sky Blue, Black, and Cobalt Violet. The official photos show how the new Island Camera design looks distinctly different — and equally striking — across each colorway.
The base 256GB model with 12GB RAM starts at $1,300 globally. In Egypt, pricing begins at 67,000 EGP for the 256GB variant and reaches 74,000 EGP for 512GB. In Saudi Arabia, the 512GB model starts at SAR 5,500.
