TECNO announced its partnership with Italian lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini at MWC 2026 in Barcelona — a collaboration spanning smartphones, gaming PCs, laptops, tablets, and earphones under a unified AIoT ecosystem.
The TECNO POVA Metal Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition is positioned as the world's first full-metal unibody 5G phone, featuring uninterrupted curves and an ultra-thin 0.99mm bezel.
Metal excels at structural rigidity and heat dissipation, but it complicates radio design — especially for high-frequency 5G bands — because antennas need clear signal pathways through materials that don't block transmission. It's precisely why most modern flagships use glass backs even with metal frames. TECNO's claim of solving this in a full-metal form is the most technically ambitious aspect of this device.
Three colorways reflecting Tonino Lamborghini's signature palette — red, platinum, and black, symbolizing "Pure Italian Talent" and the Miura Bull heritage. A reflective island on the rear is a direct representation of the Lamborghini Shield, a hallmark of the brand's watch cases.
This island is more than decoration — it functions as a digital dial that can display live information from the phone including notifications.
The standout feature is the Rear Dot Matrix — a 241-pixel independent LED matrix showcasing Tonino Lamborghini design elements, personalizable to display call alerts, notifications, and dynamic visuals. A pulse light strip adds an extra layer of motion and energy to the overall design.
The phone is powered by an unnamed Snapdragon chip. Battery capacity, RAM, storage configurations, and camera specs remain undisclosed — full technical details are expected closer to the commercial launch.
The collaboration's flagship hardware is the TAURUS MEGA MINI G1 Pro — a water-cooled compact gaming PC featuring an Intel Core i9-13900HK, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 GPU with 614 AI TOPS, a 10,000mm² pure copper cold plate with a triple-fan cooling setup, 15 external ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 330W GaN external power adapter.
The ecosystem will later expand to laptops, tablets, and wearables unified under the Tonino Lamborghini design language.
The POVA Metal is confirmed as a limited edition. The MEGA MINI G1 Pro and AIoT ecosystem products have broader availability plans, though pricing and launch dates haven't been confirmed yet.
