At Galaxy Unpacked in San Francisco on February 25, 2026, Samsung officially revealed the Galaxy S26 series — three models covering the full premium spectrum: S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. The focus this year is firmly on AI capabilities, camera intelligence, and a world-first display feature exclusive to the Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, engineered to deliver superior CPU, GPU, NPU, and AI performance with improved energy efficiency. The chipset enhances Samsung's built-in mDNIe display technology, improving image processing precision by four times.
Notably, the series reintroduces a chipset split: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers the phones in North America, China, and Japan, while the rest of the world receives the Exynos 2600.
The Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 2340 × 1080px with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Armor 2 protection for reduced reflections.
Its triple rear camera includes a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 50MP telephoto. A 4,300mAh battery supports 25W wired fast charging.
The S26+ steps up with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 120Hz, a larger 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Both the S26 and S26+ feature an upgraded vapor chamber that improves thermal performance by 29%, preventing overexposure during sustained intensive use.
The S26 Ultra carries a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 500 ppi pixel density, and a variable 1–120Hz refresh rate with S Pen support. Its headline feature is a built-in Privacy Display — a global first — that works at the pixel level to automatically narrow viewing angles and shield sensitive content from prying eyes.
It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
Galaxy AI across the S26 series introduces Now Nudge — which reads screen content and offers instant contextual suggestions — and Now Brief, which delivers personalized reminders and insights based on the user's schedule and habits. Photo Assist now accepts written prompts for faster editing, and Bixby understands natural language for quick device control.
Global pricing starts at $900 for the Galaxy S26, $1,099 for the S26+, and $1,299 for the S26 Ultra, with worldwide availability beginning March 11, 2026.
In Egypt, the Galaxy S26 starts at approximately 45,399 EGP, while the S26 Ultra in 512GB reaches 74,000 EGP, and the 1TB variant is priced at 87,770 EGP.
In Saudi Arabia, the S26 Ultra 512GB variant is priced at SAR 5,500, while in the UAE it retails at AED 5,100.
