Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE last summer alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7, and the FE model was offered in the US for a while, until mid-December when Samsung stopped selling it. We assumed the Flip7 FE was gone for good from the US market, but apparently not. Samsung has now started selling it again at $899 for the 128GB model.
The problem with that pricing is that the same version of the device can currently be had at Amazon for just $589.90. Before buying from Amazon, make sure the seller is offering the US model with a US warranty to avoid issues down the road.
The standard Z Flip7 is frequently marked down to $899.99 by retailers like Amazon, making it nonsensical for Samsung to bring the Fan Edition back at the same price tag. This thing needs a massive discount to stand a chance against the Motorola Razr (2026), Razr (2025), and Razr Ultra (2025).
The affordable flip phone was never officially discontinued, simply going out of stock on Samsung's US website back in October 2025 and recommending prospective buyers to sign up for email notifications of what then seemed like an unlikely return.
The device features dual displays, a 50MP rear camera with FlexCam for hands-free shooting, a 4,000mAh battery, IP48 water resistance, and Galaxy AI features including Now Brief and Now Bar on the cover screen. It runs Android with One UI and supports Gemini Live.
The broader market backdrop makes the FE's US pricing harder to ignore, particularly as Motorola gains share with lower prices and wider carrier availability.
