Samsung Galaxy M47 appeared on Geekbench with the model number SM-M476B. The information was first spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav. The listing confirms the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
Interestingly, it's not an Exynos chip — a notable choice for the M series which has historically relied on Exynos in many markets.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core processor: four performance cores at 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.80GHz. Adreno 710 GPU. 8GB RAM. Android 16 out of the box.
In performance tests: ~1,000 in single-core and 3,036 in multi-core CPU tests. GPU OpenCL score: 2,256.
These results place the M47 at a solid level for the budget-to-mid range segment in 2026 — smooth daily performance and acceptable mid-tier gaming.
Galaxy M47 is expected to succeed the Galaxy M44, which was launched in late 2023. Since Samsung has not released a new M4x series phone in a while, this model could mark the return of the lineup.
The Galaxy M44 featured a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD, triple 50MP rear cameras, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Battery size, display refresh rate, and camera hardware remain unknown — and those will likely shape how competitive the device feels when it eventually launches.
Earlier reports suggest Samsung had already started internal testing of the device in markets such as India and Nepal. The M series historically targets Asian and emerging markets at competitive price points.
