Samsung's Galaxy Buds4 Pro have arrived for a full GSMArena review. First impressions describe them as more subdued in appearance but simpler, easier to use, and expected to deliver better, louder audio than their predecessors.
The Buds4 Pro ship in a smaller case with a see-through top, with the buds now lying flat inside rather than sitting upright as in the Buds3 Pro. Available in Black, White, and online-exclusive Pink Gold, shipping from March 11 at $250/€250 — the same price as the Buds3 Pro in 2024.
The new stem is flat and made of metal, replacing the triangular blade-like design of the previous generation that could light up. Touch controls via pinching and swiping on the stem remain. The color features a satin low-sheen finish with a pearlescent glow under certain lighting. In-ear comfort is described as comparable to the previous model.
The 2-way speaker system now features a wider woofer and tweeter, with Samsung claiming the new drivers are approximately 20% larger than those in the Buds3 Pro. Each bud includes a dual amplifier — one per driver — to expand sound coverage and reduce distortion.
Ultra High Quality Audio uses a Samsung-made codec with 24-bit/96kHz sampling, though the Buds3 Pro also supported these specs — leaving it unclear what exactly is new. Super Clear Call uses DNN machine learning to improve voice clarity during calls.
