Samsung officially announced the Galaxy A57 5G alongside the Galaxy A37 5G as its mid-range lineup for 2026. The A57 is the most capable Galaxy A device yet, with a slimmer design, stronger AI tools, and a long-term software commitment that changes the value proposition for mid-range phones.
At 6.9mm thin and 179g, the Galaxy A57 is noticeably slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. It features an aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection, and a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Vision Booster for outdoor clarity.
Powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset with an upgraded NPU for AI tasks, the A57 comes in 8GB or 12GB RAM variants with 128GB or 256GB storage. The microSD slot has been removed permanently.
Triple rear cameras: 50MP main + 13MP ultrawide + 5MP macro, with a 12MP front camera. Nightography support, improved ISP for sharper detail and noise reduction, faster shutter speed, and Auto Trim for video editing.
5,000mAh battery with 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 (0–60% in ~30 minutes). A 13% larger vapor chamber improves thermal management. No wireless charging.
Runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and Awesome Intelligence features including Voice Transcription, multi-object Circle to Search, Object Eraser, Best Face, and AI Select. Backed by 6 years of OS and security updates — exceptional for this price tier.
IP67 dust and water resistance. Knox Vault hardware-level security debuts in the mid-range for the first time.
