Xiaomi quietly introduced the budget-friendly Redmi A7 Pro in select global markets including Italy, and the 5G version will now make its way to India.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G India launch is confirmed for April 13.
The India version comes with different features compared to the global 4G version — a larger 6,300mAh battery (vs. 6,000mAh), a 32MP dual AI rear camera (vs. 13MP on the global version), and 5G connectivity. The device runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The Redmi A7 Pro (global 4G) sports a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution (720 × 1600 pixels), up to 120Hz refresh rate, 254 ppi, 8-bit colors, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 800 nits of peak brightness.
The global 4G version packs a 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging support. The Indian 5G variant upgrades the cell to 6,300mAh.
The phone includes advanced AI features including Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
The device is confirmed to come in an orange shade. It carries an IP52 rating for splash and dust resistance.
It runs a Unisoc T7250 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 expandable storage (up to 2TB). Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, USB-C, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a single bottom-firing speaker.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G targets India's budget segment with an upgraded package — a larger battery, sharper camera, 5G support, and the latest HyperOS 3 with AI features. Launching April 13.
