The new models feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version chipset, which features overclocked prime cores clocked at 4.74GHz — just like the "for Galaxy" edition of the 8 Elite Gen 5 found on the Galaxy S26 series.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 "Leading Version" is a slightly boosted variant similar to the special "for Galaxy" chips Samsung uses. According to RedMagic, the chips go through three separate rounds of testing before qualifying for the "Leading Version" label — only chips capable of maintaining stable operation at 4.74GHz make it through.
For context, most Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phones so far — including devices from Xiaomi, iQOO, and OnePlus — top out at 4.61GHz.
