Realme has officially launched the Realme 16 5G in India, with open sales set to begin on April 6. The device was initially introduced in select global markets back in January and now joins the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ in the country.
The Realme 16 5G is currently up for pre-order in India via the company's official online store, with pricing starting at INR 31,999 ($345) for the base 8GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB models are priced at INR 33,999 ($365) and INR 36,999 ($400), respectively.
It gets a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and up to 4,200 nits peak brightness.
The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. For thermal management, it features a 6,050mm² Airflow VC cooling chamber.
It packs a 7,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging support.
The standout feature is the "Selfie Mirror" — a mirror-like circular surface on the camera bar that allows users to frame selfie shots using the main Sony IMX852 50MP primary sensor. The front-facing camera is also 50MP.
The Realme 16 5G offers up to an IP69K rating, measures 8.1mm thick, and weighs 187g.
Other features include an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, IR sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Android 16-based Realme UI 6.0, and stereo speakers.
The phone promises three years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
The Realme 16 5G is available in Air White and Air Black color options. Sales are via Flipkart and the official Realme online store.
Realme is positioning the 16 5G as a more practical, battery-first update rather than a straight spec upgrade. It suits those who value battery life, durability, and a more compact feel — but those focused on peak performance or camera versatility may find better options at a similar price point.
