Leakster Evan Blass shared what appear to be official marketing images of the Motorola Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra ahead of their launch. The images show the upcoming clamshell foldables in all their color options.
The Razr 70 Ultra is said to be offered in new colors called Orient Blue Alcantara and Pantone Cocoa Wood. As per the leaks, the Razr 70 Ultra will not be all that different from the Razr 60 Ultra in terms of design.
But what sets it apart are exceptional finishes: the Orient Blue variant features a faux leather back with a diamond stitch pattern giving it a premium look, while the Cocoa option features a wood-like texture with visible grain.
A 43-second video — looking like an official commercial — focuses on key selling points like blazing fast charging, rear and front camera performance, and the customization abilities of the cover display.
The Razr 70 is shown in three shades in the press images, but it is rumored to be offered in four colors: Pantone Bright White, Pantone Sporting Green, Pantone Hematite, and Pantone Violet Ice.
The Razr 70 Plus will arrive in a dark forest green called Pantone Mountain View and a light violet option called Pantone African Violet.
The images look just like the prior generation outside of the finish, which lines up with other rumors that hardly anything is changing with Motorola's new flip phones.
The undoubtedly massive primary and secondary screens of the Razr 70 Ultra are also showcased in all their glory, along with the handset's two rear-facing cameras and one centered front-facing snapper.
Multiple sources conflict: some point to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as a new chip, while others describe the chip as the same Snapdragon 8 Elite carried over from the Razr 60 Ultra. The two accounts don't reconcile.
(Note: The official launch later confirmed Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Elite — the same chip for a second year.)
