Last week a tipster revealed the key specifications of the China-bound OPPO Reno16 Pro. Now another source has shared details about the global variant including its key specs and expected launch timeline. The device will succeed the global Reno15 Pro which debuted in January this year.
According to the tipster, the Reno16 Pro for global markets will be unveiled between July and August. — approximately two to three months after the Chinese launch in May.
Display: The phone will come with a 6.32-inch OLED display, similar to its predecessor.
This is notable — the Chinese Reno16 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPO display. Global Reno versions historically come smaller to target compact phone fans.
Build: It is said to offer a glass and aluminum build.
Camera: The Reno16 Pro will feature a similar rear camera module as the previous gen and offer triple cameras with a 200MP unit.
Battery: The upcoming phone will pack a slightly larger battery and feature an Action button.
Reno15 Pro global came with Dimensity 8450 and 6,200mAh. The Chinese Reno16 Pro has 7,000mAh — the global version may follow.
The Chinese version was reported with a 6.78-inch AMOLED — so you're looking at completely non-identical phones even though they share the same name. And it's not really a surprise because the same thing happened last year.
The Dimensity 9500s isn't a mid-range chip dressed up with a new name — it's a genuine flagship-tier processor from the Dimensity 9400+ architecture tuned specifically for OPPO's requirements. Triple 200MP cameras, 7,000mAh battery, and 6.78-inch LTPO display.
Adding an Action button to Reno16 Pro global — a feature expected to spread across mid-range phones in 2026 following its success on iPhone and some Android phones.
