Before diving into the specs this tablet deserves an important clarification: the OnePlus Pad 3 released in China in late 2024 is not the same tablet as the OnePlus Pad 3 released globally in mid-2025. More recently there was the OnePlus Pad 4 which now serves as the basis of the newly announced Pro tablet for China.
OnePlus's tablet naming system is confusing from the outside — worth noting that Pad 3 Pro is essentially a local Chinese version of OnePlus Pad 4 with some minor changes. This is a common pattern from Chinese companies: developing versions with different names for different markets.
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro has a 13.2-inch LCD with 3,392×2,400px resolution (7:5 aspect ratio). It has a 144Hz refresh rate and 540Hz touch sampling rate. It can boost to 1,000 nits and promises very accurate color rendering plus support for Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid.
The 7:5 aspect ratio is close to square — more versatile than traditional 16:9 laptop aspect for both portrait and landscape use. Ideal for reading, drawing, and working in spreadsheets and presentations. 3,392×2,400 resolution in 13.2 inches delivers excellent pixel density for fine text and images.
The display supports a stylus for note-taking — AI will take your scribblings and transform them into tables and mind maps. An optional keyboard case is available for more text input. Eight on-board speakers deliver immersive audio for entertainment.
Eight speakers in a tablet — a nearly unprecedented figure. Most premium tablets have 4 speakers. OnePlus bets on a genuinely cinematic audio experience when watching video or gaming.
The Pro slate has a 13,380mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC charging. OnePlus says you can watch 25 episodes on a single charge — presumably half-hour episodes. For comparison: OnePlus Pad 3 for China had 9,520mAh and the global one 12,140mAh. Pad 4 has the same 13,380mAh capacity though with faster 80W charging.
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It promises a 52% higher AnTuTu score over the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro and global OnePlus Pad 3 both using the original 8 Elite chip — with 20% CPU uplift and 23% faster GPU combined with lower power usage. The Chinese Pad 3 had a mid-range Dimensity 8350 instead making the performance jump even larger.
The new tablet is available in Dark Brown and Light Green. In China it ships with a charger and USB A-to-C cable. It's not clear whether the Pro will be available outside China — but Pad 2 Pro was available globally so maybe.
