OnePlus has officially launched the Ace 6 Ultra as a dedicated gaming smartphone with an impressive set of specifications. Unlike its siblings the Ace 6 and Ace 6T, this one is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset — making it the most powerful in the lineup. Alongside the phone, OnePlus also launched an exclusive gaming controller called the Strix Gaming Controller.
The phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of 4,000Hz — one of the highest touch response rates in any phone currently available. The display is backed by the Lingxi Touch Core and carries quad water resistance ratings of IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. It's protected by OPPO Crystal Shield Glass for improved scratch and drop resistance.
The Dimensity 9500 runs on TSMC's 3nm process with a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. OnePlus claims the chip delivers a 32% improvement in performance and a 55% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation. For gaming specifically, the phone can run Delta Force at 165fps for three hours straight with no drop in performance and an average power consumption of just 4.6W. The chip is supported by the Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel, a Glacier Cooling System, and a 6,000mm² vapor chamber.
The phone is available in 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM configurations with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The rear camera is a dual setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.55-inch size and OIS, paired with an 8MP 112-degree ultrawide camera. The front camera is 16MP. The camera system is functional but the phone is clearly not designed as a photography-first device.
The 8,600mAh dual-cell battery supports 120W SuperVOOC wired fast charging — one of the largest batteries ever fitted in a gaming-focused smartphone. The battery uses Silicon-Carbon cell technology, which provides higher energy density and better performance under elevated temperatures.
OnePlus launched an exclusive gaming controller with an unconventional joystick-free design, mechanical triggers with a 1.8ms response time, a built-in esports chip, and a price of 449 yuan. The joystick-free philosophy makes it lighter and easier to hold while delivering faster input response than traditional clip-on controllers.
The phone features dual symmetrical 1,115mW speakers and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra starts at 3,499 yuan for the 12GB/256GB variant and goes up to 5,099 yuan for the 16GB/1TB model, with the gaming controller sold separately. The phone is currently available in China.
