
The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 is now available to purchase in the US. The tablet brings a compact 8.8-inch form factor with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 165Hz display, and a 9,000mAh battery in a 360g body.
Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 costs $849 in the US, a $300 price hike over the prior generation.
While the price is high, you are at least getting a few nice extras. The 68W charger comes with it as does the return of the matching folio case.
The Legion Tab Gen 5 uses an 8.8-inch 3K LCD display with a 3040×1904 pixel resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 408ppi pixel density. The panel supports a 165Hz variable refresh rate, 144Hz touch sampling rate, 750 nits peak brightness, HDR10, and 98% DCI-P3 color coverage.
Power comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The tablet also includes Lenovo's Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling system with a vapor chamber that improves heat dissipation by 32%.
The tablet comes in a single memory configuration of 12GB LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. The Legion Tab Gen 5 is priced at $849 and comes with a Folio case and a 68W charger.
A 50MP rear camera and a 50MP front-facing camera handle photography. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB-C audio. Two USB-C ports allow charging the tablet while connecting accessories or peripherals simultaneously. The tablet runs Android 16.
In the US, the tablet is available in a single Eclipse Black colorway and can be purchased from Lenovo's official website.
As with anything in 2026, it comes at a cost. The price hike can almost surely be attributed to the skyrocketing cost of RAM. Despite this, the Legion Tab Gen 5 maintains its position as the best compact Android gaming tablet available.
