Lenovo at MWC 2026: Legion Tab Gaming Powerhouse and ThinkTab X11 Rugged Workhorse

Lenovo brought two contrasting tablets to MWC 2026 in Barcelona — one built for peak gaming performance, the other engineered to survive industrial punishment. Both received hands-on time from the press.

Lenovo Legion Tab: Compact Gaming Flagship

Display and Design

The Legion Tab features an 8.8-inch IPS LCD panel with 3,040×1,904 resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio, running at 165Hz with 600 nits typical brightness boosting to 750 nits peak. The tablet measures 206.5×128.5×7.59mm and weighs 360g.

Processor and Memory

It runs on the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with Adreno 840 GPU, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.

Cooling and AI

The updated Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling system improves heat dissipation efficiency by 32% over the previous generation. Lenovo's AI Engine+ software suite uses real-time scene analysis to optimize touch sensitivity, boost critical in-game audio cues, and deliver AI-powered noise cancellation for voice chat.

Battery and Connectivity

Two USB-C ports are included — one for charging, one for accessories or monitor output.

The 9,000 mAh battery supports 68W fast charging, cameras are 50MP on both front and rear, and Wi-Fi 7 is standard. It runs Android 16.

Pricing and Availability

Global availability is set for April 2026 starting at €999 (~$1,178), in Eclipse Black, Glacier White, and Surge colorways. In China, it will launch as the Legion Y700 (2026) sooner.

Lenovo ThinkTab X11: The Indestructible Industrial Tablet

Ruggedness and Protection

The ThinkTab X11 targets harsh environments — factories, construction sites, healthcare — with MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68 water resistance. The display supports gloved and wet-touch input, essential on job sites where bare fingers aren't always an option.

Standout Feature: Tool-Free Removable Battery

The ThinkTab X11's most distinctive feature is its screwless removable battery, accessible via a snap-off back panel with no wiring or internal connections to deal with. It also supports a battery-less mode for vehicle-mounted or fixed-installation deployments powered directly from an external source.

Processor and Connectivity

The ThinkTab X11 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with dual USB-C ports and front-mounted NFC for easy scanning in field environments.

Pricing and Availability

The ThinkTab X11 will launch in Q2 2026 starting at $499.
