Huawei revealed the design and key features of the MatePad Pro Max ahead of its official launch in Bangkok. The teaser video confirmed that the tablet would be the slimmest in the MatePad lineup at just 4.7mm thick.
Huawei says the MatePad Pro Max is built on a new Cloud Falcon Architecture and uses a full-metal body. The company also says it is the first tablet to pass TÜV Rheinland Ultra-thin Bending Resistance Certification. At just 4.7mm thick and weighing 499g, Huawei says the MatePad Pro Max is the world's thinnest and lightest flagship tablet.
The device features a 13.2-inch flexible OLED PaperMatte display with 3000x2000 pixel resolution, 1,600 nits of peak brightness, a 144Hz refresh rate, 3.55mm bezels, and a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The 12MP front camera is hidden entirely inside the bezel itself with no notch or punch-hole interrupting the display.
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the MatePad Pro Max will be powered by a Kirin 9-series chipset and support 66W fast charging. It delivers a 20% performance improvement and 30% better heat dissipation compared to the MatePad Pro 2025.
The tablet is also said to be available in a variant with satellite communication support, an extremely rare feature in premium tablets that significantly enhances the device's value for professional users in remote locations.
The tablet supports the Glide Keyboard promising PC-level productivity and features a dual rear camera setup. Accessories also include the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro sold separately.
The MatePad Pro Max launches in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations starting at £999.99 in Shimmery Blue and Space Gray.
