How to Block Devices from the Router (WE) Without Software 2026

Control which devices can access your internet connection directly from your WE router settings — no third-party software required. This guide covers all WE router models including both new and old hardware.

Method 1 — Wi-Fi Devices / Blacklist

Access router settings at 192.168.1.1 using your browser, log in with your credentials (found on the back of the router). Navigate to Wi-Fi Devices, browse the list of connected and previously connected devices, and click Add to Blacklist next to any device you want to block. To unblock, click Remove from Blacklist.

Method 2 — WLAN Access Rules / MAC Filter

Go to Home Network → WLAN Access → WLAN Access Rules → Edit. Three options are available: allow all devices (default), allow only specific devices (whitelist), or block specific devices (blacklist). Add the MAC addresses of devices you want to control.

ZTE Router

Enter router settings, go to Local Network → Status → WLAN Client Status. Copy the MAC address of the target device and enable Internet Blocking next to it. Disable it the same way to restore access.

Speed Limiting

The Download Cap and Upload Cap columns let you set maximum download and upload speeds per connected device — useful for managing bandwidth without fully blocking access.
