The Honor Play 80 Plus is the third entry in the Honor Play 80 series, joining the Play 80 and Play 80 Pro announced earlier this year in China. It brings a larger 7,500mAh battery alongside Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.
Honor fitted the Play 80 Plus with a 7,500mAh battery rated at up to 20 hours of video playback. Honor claims it will retain up to 80% of its health after 6 years of use. It supports 45W wired charging and reverse charging capabilities to charge other devices from the phone.
The Honor Play 80 Plus is considered the first phone to launch with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. The octa-core design features two 2.3GHz Cortex-A78 performance cores and six 2.0GHz efficiency cores with Adreno 613 GPU, optimized for everyday efficiency.
The 6.61-inch TFT LCD with HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1,010 nits peak brightness houses a 5MP front-facing camera inside a punch-hole cutout. The device carries IP64 protection against dust and splashes.
A single 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture supports up to 1080p video recording. There's no ultrawide, telephoto, or dedicated night mode hardware.
The phone includes a dedicated physical AI button providing quick access to the YOYO assistant and Honor's AI feature suite, configurable to launch favorite apps and shortcuts.
The Honor Play 80 Plus price in China starts at CNY 1,699 (~$233) for the 6GB/128GB variant. Available in 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB configurations, in Aquamarine, Floating Gold, and Inkstone Black.
It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
