Last week, we got a detailed leak for the HMD Crest 2 and Crest 2 Pro which outlined their core specs and design. We now have pricing and availability details from the same source.
HMD Crest 2 will reportedly launch at INR 14,999 ($131) for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage trim. It seems it will once again be India-exclusive like its predecessor.
It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 5G SoC, a 50MP main camera flanked by two 2MP decorative sensors, dual speakers, an IP65 rating, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired charging.
The Crest 2 Pro is expected to launch at INR 16,999 ($183) for the 8GB/256GB trim. The updated leak suggests it will be available from Q3, the period between July and September.
It brings a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 5G chip, a triple rear camera setup (64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP decorative sensor), a 50MP selfie camera, IP65, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
Alongside the Crest 2 series, HMD is also expected to bring a successor to its HMD Key. HMD Key 2 is expected to launch in Europe with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD featuring HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, a 5MP front camera, Unisoc T310 chipset (12nm), 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with microSD expansion, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. It will retail in the £60–70 range once it launches.
The HMD Crest 2 is shown in Green, Blue, and Purple, while the Crest 2 Pro is expected to launch in Blue, Green, and Pink/Peach.
HMD is putting together an appealing package for budget and mid-range users — the Crest 2 and Crest 2 Pro deliver strong specs for their price points with Android 16, IP65, and a 6,000mAh battery. The key differences between the two come down to the main camera, display refresh rate, and RAM.
