Google has announced Game Trials in Google Play Games — a feature that lets users try out the full version of a paid title for free. If you like it, you can purchase it and pick up exactly where you left off, as progress carries over. Game Trials will roll out soon to select paid games on mobile and will eventually reach Google Play Games for PC.
For select paid games, you can buy the title once and gain access to both mobile and PC versions. Google describes this as "buy once, play anywhere." This is already live for the Reigns series, OTTTD, and Dungeon Crawler.
Google is also introducing Community Posts for dozens of popular games in English, with more languages and games coming soon — providing a dedicated space to swap tips and tricks within Google Play. Sidekick is available today with select paid games: an in-game overlay that curates relevant gaming information and delivers AI-generated tips without leaving the game. Google is also expanding its paid games catalog, with anticipated indie titles coming in the coming months — Moonlight Peaks, Sledding Game, and Low-Budget Repairs — all working across mobile and PC with synced progress.
