The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is now listed in the Geekbench online database, as someone in possession of a prototype ran the benchmark (version 6.2.2). The phone managed a single-core score of 2,426 and a multi-core score of 8,004.
The prototype has 8GB of RAM and is powered by the Exynos 2500 SoC.
The Exynos 2500 is a deca-core chip with one prime core at 3.30GHz, two cores at 2.75GHz, five cores at 2.36GHz, and two efficiency cores at 1.80GHz — paired with the Xclipse 950 GPU.
This is not the newer Exynos 2600 found in some Galaxy S26 models — and that's actually a smart move. Samsung has consistently equipped its FE phones with last-generation flagship silicon to keep costs down while still delivering a meaningful performance jump over the previous FE.
The Android version tells us the S26 FE isn't launching anytime soon, since Android 17 hasn't even been released by Google. So it might be a few months away still, which isn't surprising considering the fact that its predecessor came out in September of last year.
Other rumors suggest the S26 FE could feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,900mAh battery — the same numbers as the S25 FE.
Samsung is reportedly preparing to unveil the Galaxy S26 FE around September 2026. Three foldable phones are expected in July, and the Fan Edition will follow later that year.
The Galaxy S26 FE is shaping up as a balanced performance-and-price proposition — the Exynos 2500 on Samsung's 3nm process offers better efficiency than the Exynos 2400 in the S25 FE, and Android 17 out of the box is a strong software advantage. The full picture won't emerge until the second half of 2026.
