Blocking adult and inappropriate websites at the router level is the most effective method for protecting all family members, as it applies to every device connected to the Wi-Fi network without requiring any software installation on individual devices.
DNS (Domain Name System) translates website names into their numerical IP addresses. By replacing your router's default DNS with a filtering DNS service, websites are blocked before they can be accessed from any device on your network — the filtering DNS simply refuses to resolve the addresses of inappropriate websites.
