For the last few years, Amazon Prime Day has been a July event — this year the retail giant has decided to bring it back to June, which was the traditional time frame before the switch to July.
So, mark your calendars — Prime Day this year will be from June 23 to 26. Yes, it will be a four-day event, which is an idea that Amazon first tried out last year.
Here's what Jamil Ghani, Amazon Prime international vice president, told Reuters: "This year, we have the (FIFA) World Cup. We've got also the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, and so we thought this week was the best week for us to hold Prime Day."
The logic is clear — July will be loaded with FIFA World Cup 2026 noise and American 4th of July celebrations (the 250th independence anniversary). Moving Prime Day to June gives Amazon greater attention capture without competition from major events.
Here's a preview of what's coming: gaming and tech products from Sony and Logitech G will be up to half off. Laptops from HP and Asus will be up to 40% off. TVs from select brands will also be up to 40% off.
Traditionally, Amazon devices — Kindle e-readers, Echo smart speakers and displays, Fire TV series, eero Wi-Fi routers, Ring and Blink security cameras — will also be on sale, plus a variety of Amazon Basics offerings.
For tech-focused Arab users: iPhones, Samsung devices, Pixels, gaming peripherals, earbuds, and networking equipment traditionally receive the best Prime Day deals — and the regional versions in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt offer parallel discounts on locally available products.
This year, Prime Day will take place in the following regions: United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Singapore. Additionally, Brazil and Japan will have their own shopping events.
The presence of Egypt, UAE, and Saudi Arabia in the official participating countries list means shoppers in these countries will get the full Prime Day experience with deals tailored to the local market.
If you have kids, you may want to check out the Back to School page for school essentials. For older kids the Off to College page might be of interest.
Prime for Young Adults costs $7.49 a month or $69 a year (half of what it costs for older folks). 18-24 year olds can get a 6-month trial for free.
Groceries are a major part of Prime shopping thanks to same-day delivery. This Prime Day there will be $1 red cherries, $1 hot dogs and buns, and 4-for-$1 corn — this is what Amazon has to do to compete with Walmart, the biggest grocery store in the US.
You can start visiting the Prime Day page now to check out some early deals before the official event kicks off on June 23.
