Xiaomi 17 Max — Fully Upgraded" Not Just Bigger

Xiaomi has officially confirmed an 8,000mAh battery, while leaks continue pointing toward 100W wired charging support. The figure immediately stands out in the flagship segment.

Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing described the phone as a "fully upgraded" version of the regular Xiaomi 17 rather than simply a larger-sized model — and based on what the company has confirmed so far, that description feels accurate.

Battery — Xiaomi's Largest Ever

One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max is its massive 8,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is the largest ever used in one of its smartphones. The device is expected to support 100W wired charging along with 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi is using its latest silicon-carbon battery technology, which should help maintain a slimmer body despite the larger battery capacity.

Display — SuperPixel 6.9 inches

The phone will feature a 6.9-inch "SuperPixel" display, similar to the panel expected on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Xiaomi says the screen uses a new RGB sub-pixel arrangement that delivers near-2K visual sharpness while consuming less power than conventional 1.5K OLED panels. The display is also expected to use a new red luminous material for improved brightness efficiency and more uniform colors.

Camera — Xiaomi's First-Ever 200MP Leica

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Max will feature the brand's first Leica-backed 200-megapixel primary camera.

The camera system: 200MP Leica main camera alongside a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Rumors suggest a 50MP ultrawide as well.
